Modernizing one of Brazil's largest analytics environment: Banco Bradesco leverages hybrid cloud with VantageCloud on Azure and on-prem AI

With one of the largest analytics infrastructures in the financial sector, Bradesco began its modernization journey by migrating its Teradata environment to the Azure cloud.

The complexity of the environment — with over 400TB of data, 190,000 tables, mainframe integration, more than 1,500 users, and multiple business-critical applications — required a careful, phased approach. The first wave focused on credit card data, an area with increasing digital demands and a strong emphasis on data and analytics.

To ensure continuity and performance, the bank adopted Teradata QueryGrid as its Data Fabric solution, enabling the creation of a hybrid environment between on-premises and cloud. This architecture allowed seamless interoperability between systems without code rewrites, maintaining SLAs and user experience. The success of the initiative validated the hybrid strategy and paved the way for full migration — while also enabling, in the near future, the adoption of advanced analytics and AI applications across the organization.
